*Students also commit to reading and reflection between taught modules, ensuring they have time and space to complete and submit assignments with consideration and professionalism.)

The portfolio developed throughout the training will prepare appropriately qualified practitioners to apply to become a BACP Accredited Supervisor of Individuals, and/or Groups.

COVID-19 considerations and  allowances 2021

This training  course is renowned for its experiential delivery, so the co-hort, which is usually capped at 8 will be reduced to 6 in 2021.  This maximises the opportunity to ensure 'physical' training weekends go ahead if COVID restrictions and considerations are raised  the venue training rooms can  accommodate safe distancing with 6.

The 2020 cohort had 3 physical weekends, then due to total lockdown had 3 zoom weekends (still with visiting lecturers/external skills observation) and then an additional Saturday was offered, at the request of the group, with no additional charge, so they could meet 'physically to end as a group'

Placement/skills practice hours were 'counted' if students were supervising under supervision 'remotely', and the course lost little of its potency as experiential exercises were adapted faithfully to still have impact when experienced remotely.

The presentation weekend proved a welcome 'push' for students to develop power point/webinar type interactive ways of attaining their presentation criteria - which was a fantastic additional learning opportunity for those who were technologically resistant …. and the outcomes were fantastic!
